Isaac Michael
The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

Sara said, "God has brought me laughter and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me."
genesis 21:6

When Daren and I were still in high school we heard a sermon that talked about the story of Abraham, Sara, and God's faithfulness of providing them with a child. We both have always remembered how we learned that Sara named her son Isaac because it meant laughter and becoming pregnant at 90 was definitely cause for a good laugh. We love that God has a sense of humor and wants our lives to be filled with laughter.
Daren's ability to make me laugh has always been one of my favorite of his qualities. I already know that Isaac will bring so many smiles, giggles, and belly laughs to our lives, but my prayer is that he will have the kind of free flowing joy and laughs that come from knowing how deeply loved he is by God.
Isaac is one lucky guy to have some great Michael's in his life. Here are both of his Grandpas. Michael Torrance and Michael Caldwell. Both of his uncles have the middle name of Michael too. I am happy he can look up to all of them and hopefully be a little like each one of them someday.

He's on his changing table in all of these pictures. It is the most smile producing place in the house we have discovered. The odd thing is that he hates diaper changes and getting dressed- all of which take place here, but he LOVES when mama talks to him about "poo poo", "stinky pants", and his "cheesy bottom"- which also takes place here. Maybe I talk in a different tone when I converse about his bowel movements or maybe, just maybe he truly takes after us and already knows the significance of how funny poop and gas can be.
Uncle Dustin Michael
