Isaac Boy

Isaac this month you turned 2 years and 4 months. You are more and more like a little boy and less like our little baby everyday! This month your verbal skills have taken off! You have so many words. Sometimes Mommy and Daddy have to interpret for you and sometimes Mommy even has to interpret for Daddy. You have your colors down pat now and about half of the alphabet letters too. We have talked about them with you a little, but it is amazing what you just pick up on your own.

This month has also revealed that you are now a story teller. Your first story you ever told us and the one that you are still telling anyone who will listen is about Googa's "tractor" (riding lawnmower). Here is your version of the events verbatim..."Googa tractor. POW POW POW!!! (your arm is punching the air at this point for emphasis). Tractor stuck! Man came. Tools (insert another arm movement of using a wrench). More mowin'." Here is the boring version the adults tell...Googa took you for a ride on his mower and it made a loud pow pow pow noise. It was stuck. A man came with tools and fixed it (actually Googa had to buy a new one) and now there is more mowin'!

You love mowing. You talk about it more than anything else. Throughout the day you ask us "Daddy mowin'? Jeff mowin'? Googa mowin'? Boy mowin'? Man mowin'" Sometimes you just randomly announce "nobody mowin'!"

Here you are before your first ever swim lesson that we started this month. You like playing with the toys, kids, blowing bubbles, jumping in, and singing the songs. You really really dislike being on your stomach or back in the water. Daddy helped you work on that this weekend at the pool.

Your first movie date! Kylie and I took Tatum and you to Coldstone and then to see Winnie the Pooh in the theater! You both were so cute and excited. You held hands from Coldstone all the way into the theater. Once in the theater you both looked around in amazement at your surroundings and said "wow"! You were so good during the movie. You had plenty of "nacks". You had to sit just right in the chair though or it would fold up on you!

Here you are with "baby brother". You have been taking care of the little boy baby we brought home for you. You make sure he is wrapped up in a blanket at night and like to hold him during story time. You are going to be such a good brother!!!

Another big change this month is that you are now a full blown Daddy's Boy!!! Daddy is your fave person in the world and you want him around all the time. You want Daddy to feed you, bathe you, help with the potty, play toys, everything!!! You get very sad when Daddy has to leave for work or school and can't wait until you get to see him again. By the way, Daddy is LOVING this:) Mommy is dealing with it okay. I am very glad to see you boys getting along so well and to have a little more free time!
