Back at Oliver Winery in the daffodils. I wonder how long I have before he starts protesting this tradition???
Isaac is changing all the time! Here are some new likes/dislikes/skills/words...
two weeks ago he blew me a kiss:). cookies- anything that comes from the pantry or is really tasty is a cookie "coo coo" ie...animal crackers, cereal, pretzels, toast with butter, tortilla chips. "Go Go"=Joe Joe, he's on the lookout for Go Go as soon as he wakes up. "mama"= mom or anyone he wants to get to look at him. last week he called two kroger cashiers and the bagger mama and waved to each one continuously until we left for the car. emphatic "MAMA"= daddy. clasps hands and says "men" when I put him in the highchair to eat= saying prayers. "plah"= please. feeding joe joe and teasing joe joe with food. so used to me saying "no no" to this new habit that he now drops the food, immediately looks at me and starts shaking his head no. standing up on anything and cruising around the furniture. pushes the laundry basket around the room like a walker. "brruh"=banana, one of his favorite foods. loves to eat- almost anything- recent consumptions receiving rave reviews...chicken liver, brocoli, asparagus, pork tenderloin, oreos. bath time is favorite too.
fun things daren and i are especially enjoying about isaac right now...his friendliness. he waves to everyone, everywhere, all the time. at mccallisters for lunch this weekend we were constantly turning him around in his chair because he found a couple he thought needed to be greeted with a wave every 30 seconds. his favorite phrase, it goes like this "aaaahhhhhhh bu bubba" he almost sings it. every time he says/sings it, it has the exact same rhythm and pitch. it comes out when he seems really happy. i would LOVE to know what it means. he's starting to really give out kisses and hugs. he will lay his head on us and pat our arms with his hand. bounces to music, he's in a kindermusik class for infants, but he especially likes when I hum Lady GaGa songs.
things daren and i are not the most excited about right now...pooping in the tub. i hope this is a one time occurrence. we didn't even see it coming! daren swooped him out of the tub and held him at arms length while i wiped him off with one hand and pulled the drain of the tub with the other. we used to dump all of his bath toys in at once, but after watching them get chased by floating turds we now just put a few in at a time in case there's another mishap! pulling up on the oven and tv. joe eating off of his hand/lap/highchair. isaac's fascination with electrical outlets/cords/plugs. teething. seems like we can never get that monkey off his back!
Little Buddy! You're talking soo soo much!!! WOA! I have goosebumps...(it's probably that and your mama's amazing soundtrack to cap it all off!) We love you!!! And love that daffodil spring tradition!
